SAILAER Terms and Conditions

  1. A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all bookings.
  2. Deposit payments must be received within the specified period, otherwise, the quote and any provisional booking will expire. In cases of special terms or last-minute bookings, full payment may be required to secure the reservation.
  3. Final payment must be received by us within the agreed-upon timeframe. If payment is not made on time, the booking may be considered canceled.
  4. Clients are responsible for covering any additional fees related to payments, including bank charges for international transactions, ensuring that we receive the full amount owed.
  5. A damage deposit may be requested either as a prepayment or a credit card authorization. Clients are expected to leave the yacht clean and orderly and will be responsible for any damage or breakages during their stay, potentially up to the value of the damage deposit.
  6. While we strive to ensure the yacht details and specifications are accurate and up-to-date, yacht owners may make upgrades or modifications at their discretion. Clients are encouraged to confirm any specific features that are important to them before finalizing their booking. SAILAER will notify clients of any significant changes to the yacht’s configuration or amenities. We reserve the right to make adjustments to the charter arrangements if necessary.
  7. In the unlikely event of an issue with the booked yacht, we reserve the right to provide a replacement yacht of a similar class and standard, where possible. During peak periods, alternative options may be limited, and while we will do our best to provide comparable accommodations, it may not always be feasible to offer an identical replacement. For group charters, it is possible that alternative arrangements may require a split of parties if no other suitable options are available.
  8. SAILAER is not liable, nor will compensation be provided, in situations where our contractual obligations or those of our suppliers are disrupted due to unforeseen events beyond our control, such as severe weather, fire, civil unrest, terrorist activity, or other similar circumstances.
  9. Clients are required to obtain suitable travel insurance for their specific needs and provide proof of insurance upon request.
  10. Clients must ensure they have valid travel documents, including visas if necessary. We recommend that passports have at least six months of validity beyond the travel period and at least two blank pages.
  11. If any member of your party has a medical condition or disability that may affect your holiday, please inform us in detail before booking, so we can assess the suitability of the arrangements.
  12. Adherence to Captain and Crew: While on board, clients agree to follow all instructions and decisions made by the captain and crew. The captain has full authority over the safety and operation of the yacht, including decisions regarding the itinerary, weather conditions, and the wellbeing of all passengers and crew. If, at any time, the captain or crew determines that a client’s behavior, health, or conduct poses a risk to safety, disrupts the enjoyment of others, or endangers the operation of the yacht, they reserve the right to remove the client from the charter without refund or compensation. The captain’s decisions are final.
  13. Crew Substitution: In the unlikely event that Andrew or Erin are unable to crew the charter for any reason, SAILAER reserves the right to provide alternative crew members of equivalent experience and qualifications. We will make every effort to inform clients of any crew changes in advance, but no refund or compensation will be provided in the event of crew substitution.
  14. Cancellations & Refunds: Refund terms will be clearly stated in the Offer sent to you via email. If the client cancels the charter within 60 days of the scheduled embarkation date, no refund will be issued. For cancellations made more than 60 days before embarkation, any refund will be subject to the terms outlined in the Offer and may include the loss of the deposit or other non-refundable amounts.
  15. Travel Delays: SAILAER cannot be held responsible for any delays in client travel to or from the yacht. Compensation will not be provided for any such delays.
  16. Crew Rest Hours: The crew is entitled to a minimum of 10 hours of rest in any 24-hour period and 77 hours of rest within any 7-day period. Clients are required to respect the crew’s rest hours during the charter.
