1. Choosing your dates

Charters in Greece follow a Saturday to Saturday schedule. Deciding on your preferred dates first allows us to check availability accurately and move smoothly into the enquiry and offer stage.

Embarkation & disembarkation times
Charters typically begin on Saturday from 5pm, allowing time for the yacht to be prepared following the previous charter.
Disembarkation is by 9am the following Saturday, with the yacht returning to its base marina by approximately 5pm on the Friday evening.

2. Enquiry & offer

We recommend getting in touch well in advance, as our charter weeks tend to book quickly.

Once we receive your enquiry, we’ll ask a few practical questions to understand your dates, group size and the kind of week you’re looking for.

From there, we identify the most suitable yacht from our trusted charter partners and put together a clear proposal. You don’t need a separate broker or agent, we handle all the communication and details for you.

No pressure, no push to book.

3. Confirmation & payment

Once you’re happy to proceed, the booking is confirmed with a deposit, as outlined in your offer. The balance is due two months prior to embarkation.

Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit/debit card via our secure payment link. A formal invoice is issued on the day of charter, with all payments and details clearly documented throughout the process.

4. Planning your sailing holiday

Shortly after booking, you’ll receive a detailed preference sheet. It’s intentionally thorough, allowing us to plan meals, order food and drinks and prepare the yacht properly ahead of your arrival.

We can also assist with organising taxi transfers to and from the marina, so everything runs smoothly from the moment you land.

5. On arrival

You step on board, settle in and let the week unfold. The route is discussed at the start of the charter and shaped by weather, sea conditions and experience  rather than fixed plans made weeks in advance.

Decisions are made with safety, comfort and the best possible experience in mind, allowing the week to unfold naturally rather than being locked into a plan too far in advance.

We’ll run through a clear and practical safety briefing, covering the yacht, the week ahead and life on board, so everyone feels comfortable, informed and at ease from the beginning.

We take care of the sailing, coordination and daily flow of life on board, so you can relax into the week from the moment you arrive.

A note on timing

SAILAER operates seasonally, from May through October. During the season, we work in specific sailing areas for extended periods rather than moving between regions week to week.

Wherever we are based, we bring strong local knowledge, trusted contacts and established systems that allow each charter to run smoothly. Working this way keeps logistics simple, decisions clear and the experience consistent for guests.

Because availability is shaped by both timing and location, enquiries are best made in advance

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should we enquire?

We recommend enquiring as early as possible. Our weeks book quickly, particularly in peak season, and availability is limited once our schedule is set.

We open our calendars each December for the following sailing season. For example, enquiries for the 2027 season open in December 2026.

No. We act as your single point of contact from enquiry through to the end of your charter, coordinating the sailing, planning and logistics so you don’t need to manage multiple parties.

Routes are discussed on your arrival day and shaped by the weather, sea conditions and local knowledge. Andrew monitors the forecast continuously and makes decisions based on safety, comfort and the best experience for the week. We take into consideration any bucket list destinations you’d like to visit.

We adapt. Flexibility is part of sailing in Greece and alternative routes, anchorages or sailing areas are always considered to ensure a safe and enjoyable week.

A deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due generally two months before embarkation. Payments are handled securely by bank transfer or credit/debit card, with full documentation provided. This information will be detailed in the Offer sent to you.

Yes. Your charter is entirely private.

The yacht is exclusively yours for the week, shared only with your chosen guests and crew.

We’re present when needed and discreet when not.

Our approach is attentive without hovering, allowing the yacht to feel like your own space rather than a service environment.

Absolutely. Our guests range from first-time sailors to those who return to sail with us again. We provide a thorough safety briefing and operate with calm, experienced judgement throughout the week.
