SAILAER offers professionally crewed sailing charters for families and groups of friends who want to experience Greece from the water, without the pressure, polish or performance that often comes with “luxury” travel.
Why SAILAER exists
We created SAILAER after many years working across sailing, hospitality and tourism industries and seeing the same pattern repeat itself:
charters that felt either too hands-off, or too stiff.
SAILAER sits comfortably in between.
But it also grew naturally from our guests.
Over the years, many of our clients returned again and again…wanting to explore different parts of Greece, sail new routes and experience places beyond a single home base. Creating SAILAER allows us to stay flexible, moving with the seasons and the islands, while still offering the same familiar standard of care & service.
Our focus is on easy, crewed sailing, where the practicalities are handled quietly in the background and guests are free to enjoy good food, beautiful anchorages, local villages and time together.
No floating hotel.
No bareboat stress.
Just sailing that feels natural, calm and well looked after.
Andrew & Erin
SAILAER is run by Andrew and Erin Rynberg, a professional skipper and chef/hostess team with a combined 25 years + experience sailing and working in Greece & across the globe.
Working together allows us to offer a charter that feels seamless:
clear communication, consistent standards and a relaxed rhythm onboard.
Guests often tell us the difference is in the details…meals that don’t feel rushed, routes that balance sailing with time ashore & swim stops and an atmosphere that feels welcoming rather than formal.
We’re hands-on, attentive and quietly organised so you don’t have to be.
Originally from South Africa & Australia, we are now permanently based in Greece and have spent years sailing, living and working throughout the islands.

Ultra-formal or highly choreographed service with constant crew presence
A bareboat-style, self-managed holiday
We’re attentive and well organised, but not hovering. There will be times when you have the yacht to yourselves while we step ashore for practical tasks. Part of good service is knowing when to step back and give guests space, while remaining close by.
