Why SAILAER exists
SAILAER began with a simple idea: sailing holidays should feel relaxed, personal and genuinely enjoyable.
After years working throughout the sailing, hospitality and tourism industries, we saw the same pattern repeating itself. Some experiences felt overly formal and rigid, while others lacked the professionalism and support guests deserved.
We believed there was a better middle ground.
We wanted to create sailing holidays that combined professional experience with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Somewhere guests could feel comfortable, enjoy great food, explore beautiful places and experience life at sea without unnecessary formality.
That’s still what SAILAER is about today. Just the two of us, sharing our experience, knowledge and love of Greece with the people who join us onboard.
Andrew & Erin Rynberg
SAILAER is run by Andrew and Erin Rynberg, a husband and wife team with over 30 years of combined experience across the sailing, hospitality and tourism industries.
Andrew – Skipper
Originally from South Africa, Andrew is an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, commercially endorsed, with over 100,000 nautical miles of sailing experience. Having sailed extensively throughout Greece and internationally, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge, professionalism and local experience to every charter.
Erin – First Mate, Cook & Hostess
Originally from Australia, Erin’s career has taken her from whale-watching boats and adventure tourism to managing weddings and events at one of Australia’s leading island venues. With years of experience in hospitality, food preparation and professional yacht crewing throughout Greece and internationally, she combines her love of cooking with sailing experience, organisation and genuine hospitality to create a welcoming atmosphere onboard.
Together, we’ve lived, worked and sailed throughout Greece for many years, building strong relationships with charter companies, colleagues and developing an understanding of what makes a great sailing holiday.
Now based in Greece, we enjoy sharing our knowledge of the islands and welcoming guests onboard for a relaxed and memorable sailing experience.
