Meet Andrew
Andrew’s professional sailing career began in South Africa, delivering newly built Leopard Catamarans from Cape Town to destinations around the world. These early ocean passages provided invaluable experience and laid the foundations for a career that has since taken him across thousands of nautical miles and some of the world’s most renowned cruising grounds.
From there, Andrew went on to work aboard professionally crewed luxury sailing yachts of up to 64 feet, refining his skills in both seamanship and guest service while operating to the high standards expected within the luxury charter industry.
His journey eventually led him to Greece, where he discovered a passion for charter sailing and helping guests experience the country from the water. Today, with more than 95,000 nautical miles of experience, Andrew remains active as a freelance skipper, working with private yacht owners, charter companies and a select number of sailing holiday guests each season.
Known for his calm nature, local knowledge and practical approach, Andrew believes the best weeks on the water are the ones where guests can relax, explore and enjoy the experience knowing everything is in capable hands.

While Andrew remains the primary skipper within SAILAER, we understand that charter schedules & dates don’t always align.
Over the years, we have built strong relationships with a select group of professional skippers, hostesses and yacht crew throughout Greece. These are colleagues we know personally, have worked alongside and trust to deliver the same high standards of professionalism, seamanship and guest care that we expect ourselves.
If Andrew is unavailable for your preferred dates, we will always do our best to help find a suitable alternative who shares the same professional standards, local knowledge and guest-focused approach that SAILAER is known for.

For guests looking for a skipper and hostess team, Erin continues to work a select number of sailing holidays each season alongside her work with Charter Ready Corfu and yacht operations. With years of experience as a yacht chef, hostess and charter crew member, she brings a practical understanding of both guest service and life onboard.
Over the years, we have also built strong relationships with a select group of professional skippers, hostesses and yacht crew throughout Greece.
